The

Process FMEA and Control Plan
According to « FMEA Handbook » AIAG/VDA : june 2019
(2 days)

cible Overall objective

fleche bleue

Know how to create and update Process FMEA according to the recommendations of the FMEA Handbook AIAG/VDA (June 2019), in the industrial context of the organizing company (IATF 16949 : 2016 or EN 9100 : 2016).

cible Learning operational objectives

fleche bleue

According to the role of each participant, know how to:

  • Organize the PFMEA Process, prepare, organize, moderate the Process FMEA meetings.
  • Audit an existing process FMEA.
  • Update an existing Process FMEA.

fleche bleue

Know how to be efficient when doing Process FMEA and how to switch from a “passive” FMEA approach to an “active and anticipative” approach (FMEA = design & anticipation tool):

  • Prioritize & gain more control using PFMEA, early in the project, on the most critical process steps.
  • Structure the re-use of standard/generic PFMEA & feed future generic PFMEA.
  • Gain time by filtering some activities.
  • Optimize the Control Plan thanks to techniques that allow to favor prevention over detection.
  • Be as efficient as possible during the preparation of PFMEA.

fleche bleue

Know how to realize Process FMEA using a way that allows a real co-design between design engineering, process engineering, tooling engineering.

fleche bleue

Based on the applicable « Customer Specific Requirements (IATF) », know how to define, identify, manage, Special Characteristics in PFMEA and all along the industrial process.

fleche bleue

Know how to build a Control Plan, following a Process FMEA, according to the recommendations of the AIAG guide « APQP and Control Plan » and in agreement with the applicable requirements (IATF 16949 : 2016 or EN 9100 : 2016 + Customer Specific Requirements).

fleche bleue

Know how to leverage the contributions from the pluri-disciplinary team during the creation of the PFMEA and of the Control Plan.

fleche bleue

Build the Control Plan for some Preventive and Detection elements that were identified during the PFMEA Workshop.

cible The « Plus » of the training session

fleche_bleue

Training tailored on an example of internal process and using the internal Process FMEA tool and Control Plan of the organizing company (Examples and tools can also be provided by Vertice Engineering if necessary). If necessary, advice will be given on how to migrate internal Process FMEA tools to the « FMEA Handbook » AIAG / VDA (June 2019).

fleche_bleue

This training includes a 6 months post training support period (Answers to questions by email, webinars, telephone, response time function of the availability of the trainer).

fleche_bleue

Training centered on the realization of PFMEA & Control Plan workshops, based on the internal process example. Workshops realized, in turns, by the participants, with the moderation of the trainer.

fleche_bleue

Theoretical parts organized using a dynamic & interactive approach (mini workshops in sub-groups, quizzs, questions by the trainer…).

cible Organization and ressources

fleche_bleue

Training organized physically or online on a 2 days period (4 * ½ day session for online training).

fleche_bleue

The number of participants per session is limited to 8.

fleche_bleue

Each participant receives, in electronic and/or paper format, a training manual in English or other language as necessary, as well as the exercises and workshop files.

fleche_bleue

Each participant should have a PC with MS Excel (2007 or later) installed and ready to be used.

fleche_bleue

For training sessions on customer site, the training room should have the adequate size and should be equipped with a video projector and a whiteboard/paperboard.

fleche_bleue

Methods of evaluation training:

  • Level assessment quizzes for each participant at the beginning and end of the training session.
  • Cold evaluation questionnaire for the training achievement completed 3 months after training, by each participant, with their hierarchy. The goal is to confirm with them the usefulness of the training at their workstation and to plan the necessary follow up actions
  • Hot satisfaction questionnaire completed by each participant.

cible Targeted audience:
