Overall objectives

  • Connaître l’APQP (Advanced Project Quality Planning), comprendre ses enjeux et ses apports dans le contexte industriel de l’entreprise organisatrice. Connaître le processus PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), en connaître les exigences. Savoir constituer un dossier PPAP.

Learning operational objectives

  • Connaître le déroulement du processus APQP, ses étapes et activités.
  • Comprendre l’enchaînement des différentes étapes de l’APQP, leur cohérence et les niveaux de maturité des livrables associés en lien avec les objectifs de fin de projet :
    • Planification et définition du projet
    • Conception du produit et vérification du développement
    • Conception du process et vérification du développement
    • Validation du produit et de la production
    • Prise en compte du retour d’expérience et actions correctives
  • Contextualiser, dans l’organisation de l’entreprise organisatrice, les contraintes et opportunités liées au déploiement de l’APQP.
  • Connaître le processus PPAP, ses exigences et savoir le mettre en œuvre, dans le contexte de l’entreprise organisatrice, des exigences IATF 16949 ainsi que des « Customer Specific Requirements ».
  • Savoir constituer un dossier PPAP à partir du processus APQP, en connaître les règles de soumission et d’approbation.

The "Pluses" of the training session

  • Training "tailor-made" adapted and focused on internal processes and standard documents of the organizing company (case studies used if necessary).
  • Approche rationnelle de l’APQP et du PPAP en gardant comme fil conducteur les objectifs de fin de projet.
  • Theoretical parts organized in a dynamic and interactive way (workshops in subgroups, quizzes, questions, etc.).
  • This training includes a 6-months period of post training support (email exchanges, webinars, phone, response time depending on the trainer’s availability).

Organization and resources

  • Each attendee receives a training manual in English as well as exercise and workshop files used during the session.
  • For face-to-face training, the room must have a video projector as well as a flipchart and a whiteboard with coloured markers in working order.

Evaluation mode

  • Level assessment quizzes for each attendee at the beginning and the end of the training session.
  • Hot satisfaction questionnaire completed by each attendee.
  • Cold evaluation questionnaire for the training achievement completed 3 months after training, by each attendee, with their hierarchy.

Targeted audience

  • Toute personne impliquée dans la mise en œuvre de l’APQP et/ou du PPAP au sein de son entreprise.


  • At least 1 year experience in either production, project management, industrial engineering, quality, product design and engineering.
  • Experience of the products and processes of the company organizing the training.

Trainer profile

  • General Engineer (Centrale).
  • 20 years of automotive industry experience (manufacturer and supplier) in project management, purchasing and product / process design methodology (Functional analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, supplier quality, etc.).
  • Was involved in the implementation of the APQP & PPAP process at PSA and then in its deployment at Plastivaloire.
