Overall objectives
- Mastering the creation and use of the Design and Process FMEA according to the recommendations of the RM13004, in the context of the organizing company.
Learning operational objectives
- Using FMEA effectively by understanding its context of use and general operating principles.
- Utiliser efficacement l’AMDEC en comprenant son contexte d’utilisation et ses principes généraux de fonctionnement.
- Effectively carrying out a Design and Process FMEA by following the various steps described in the RM13004 guide.
- Establishing a relevant design verification plan or manufacturing control plan by deducing it from the Design FMEA or the Process FMEA respectively.
- Assessing the application of the FMEA process by identifying its common errors and rating it according to the proposed checklist.
- Optimizing the FMEA process by creating and reusing reference FMEA in a relevant way.
The "Pluses" of the training session
- Training tailored on examples of internal products and manufacturing processes of the organizing company (Case study used if necessary). Workshops made on these examples.
- Use your own tools and standards (or those provided by Vertice Engineering), which we can optimize to maximize your efficiency and accelerate your projects.
- This training includes a 6-months period of post training support (email exchanges, webinars, phone, response time depending on the trainer’s availability).
Organization and resources
- Each attendee receives a training manual in English as well as exercise and workshop files used during the session.
- For face-to-face training, the room must have a video projector as well as a flipchart and a whiteboard with coloured markers in working order.
- The attendees must dispose of a laptop computer, connected to the internet, with MS Excel 2007 or more installed.

Evaluation mode
- Level assessment quizzes for each attendee at the beginning and the end of the training session.
- Hot satisfaction questionnaire completed by each attendee at the end of the training.
- Cold evaluation questionnaire, to evaluate achievements realized after the training completed 3 months after training, by each attendee, with their hierarchy.
Targeted audience
- Anyone involved in the implementation of the development and industrialization of a product or process in an industrial environment (R&D / Design office, Quality, Industrial Methods, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Metrology, Maintenance, Purchasing, etc.).
Prerequisite
- Avoir une expérience d’au moins 1 an en production, maintenance, méthode, qualité, ingénierie dans l’industrie automobile.
- Participants should have an experience of the products and manufacturing processes of the company organizing the training.
Trainer profile
- 20 years experience in automotive industry in industrial statistics (MSA, SPC, capability studies, design of experiments, tolerancing) and in methodologies of product / process design and engineering (functional analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, CAD).
